Notes about this internet video directory:

Welcome to the Triumphant Artists video directory! We're trying to improve and expand this list of videos over time, by transferring old videos from HornbostelMedia.com onto TriumphantArtists.com (with enhanced sound, visual effects, and subtitles!), and well as creating a wide range of new videos, art, and software. The Triumphant Artists video gallery contains independent Flash video in multiple resolution settings, with quality ratings systems and comment boxes. We're also developing search and sorting systems, and we've just included a content ratings system to filter offensive/mature content. This colored box system spans from light white-green (inoffensive) to dark black-red(very offensive)

There are new videos in the works, like postapocalyptic sci-fi action movie DUEL 2030, and a mockumentary about making low-budget video (Zombie Demon Nazis From Uranus!) We'll be featuring videos by Matthew Lyles Hornbostel, Albert Rivera, Nathan Hornbostel, and other indie video members. In fact, by the end of 2010, we should have over 75 videos here, many with better production quality and visual effects, and even some 3d videos!

We do run ads with certain pieces of content to fund our productions, like a TV network, but only pieces where everyone who has in any way contributed to said content has agreed to this. We will avoid running ads with any material containing the work of anyone who has not agreed to the ads being there.

If you have in any way contributed to one or more of our projects, or plan to do so, please sign our agreement form HERE or, better, sign our general Release Form with us present, to grant us permission to run ads with the content you contributed to (in exchange for an agreed-upon up-front payment; we've decided that'd be simpler for everyone than splitting ad revenue.) We do not wish to infringe anyone's copyright; thus we are now in process of carefully excising all copyrighted material from our web network. Everything you will see on our network in the future will be our own work. We wish to be legally and ethically sound in our practices, to the best of our understanding and ability. We don't wish to hurt anyone, nor do we wish to break the law, yet we do want to make some amount of income as our indie projects do cost money to complete, and these websites cost money to host. We try to do things cleverly and get games and videos made for between $0 and $900 per project, making the best, most eye-catching stuff we can given that we have very small budgets to work with. ;)

With your support, we're going to try to expand our internet video and software productions and make the best content possible with our very limited budgets. We want to do some good, and use our business/art skills to make this endeavor work well for our artists, our audiences, and the world.

I can't speak for all of my team members, but I (Matthew Lyles Hornbostel) pledge that 50% of whatever share of income I make from this network will be given to a variety of charities, including those rated as highly effective by GiveWell.net. The other 50% of my share will go directly into further media projects - videos, games, etc, both my own and my teammates'.
