Spiral Skies was intended initially as a tiny adventure-game project to be assembled in Construct 2. I was going to throw it together in just a weekend.

Nice, and I even had a talented musician (PedroVGM) compose an ambient soundtrack for it!

Unfortunately, I was so insistent on doing it right that I ended up beginning a process of reassembling the whole thing in Unity, so delays occurred as I overhauled stuff. Then more delays as other things became urgent and it hit the backburner.

I still believe that with a week or so of focus the Unity version can be finished. That week is slotted for early 2023.

The game is a small minigame that was somehow a focus when I was vlogging on YouTube so a few people think it's a big, somehow important project when actually it's one of my smallest. You've no idea how much work has gone into other things besides this. And because it's actually still a fairly small project, it's bundled with three other little gamedev things, a batch of four minigames preorderable for a dollar, in 'Matthew's Minigames' a bundle on Matthornb.itch.io.

If you're curious, give that a look?

The minigame preorder is also bundled within an even bigger $2 bundle now and then during sales, a bundle that includes effectively ALL my game projects plus a TON of stock media asset packs that actually are already released and usable/downloadable.

You know, PBR seamless photographic texture maps, overlays and decals, 3d models, VFX video elements...

Ads on TriumphantArtists.com and other websites run by Matthew Hornbostel, include banner ads from Comic Ad Network [top ad - an unfiltered banner rotation system predominantly used by web comics, art sites, but occasionally some questionable items.] and my own banner rotation system [bottom - anything here is either my own stuff like websites, online shops, or social media profiles, or has been vetted by me and found to be generally legit. I have several cashback sites [all of them are ones I've used and cashed out tens of $ from successfully already] and major online retail stores [Sony, Microsoft, Amazon...] in that mix. Usually they give me some sort of small compensation if you buy from them through the link, which I'm disclosing right now. They're all legit spots, but if skeptical do your own research before committing to anything.]
